PRACTICAL TRAINING.
REALISTIC EXPECTATIONS.
Flashpoint Combatives provides small-group practical combatives and personal-safety training for ordinary people.
Our approach is grounded in a simple idea: self-defence training should improve your options without creating false confidence.
We focus on awareness, avoidance, decision-making and practical physical skills for situations where avoidance and escape have failed. Training is deliberately small-group, controlled and realistic, with an emphasis on safety, individual development and understanding the limitations of any technique.
Our objective is not to teach people to fight. It is to make you better prepared to recognise one, respond when necessary and escape dangerous confrontations.
YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Adam Beswick — Director & Head Instructor
Adam holds a 2nd Dan in Japanese Jujutsu and spent approximately five years training at Hobart Jujutsukan under Tyler Duffiled in Tasmania.
Adam also holds a provisionary 1st Dan in Yoseikan Budo under the tutelage of Ross Taylor from West Coast Aikido Academy in Western Australia.
During his time training in Tasmania, Adam also trained extensively in Cold War Combatives, a practical close-range combatives system. He is licensed to teach the system.
Flashpoint Combatives brings that training into a small-group format focused on practical self-protection, realistic expectations and safe, controlled instruction.
Flashpoint teaches combatives and personal safety. It is not an independent Japanese Jujutsu school.
