WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

The Confidence Code combines awareness and decision-making with practical physical skills, including:

  • Recognising boundary violations and managing distance

  • Understanding intuition

  • Using your voice and saying NO

  • Awareness, avoidance and identifying opportunities

  • Creating space and prevent unwanted contact

  • Disengaging from grabs and framing under pressure

  • Open-hand striking and kicking

  • Falling safely and getting back to your feet

  • Simple takedowns and creating opportunities to escape

  • Using terrain

  • Improvised weapons

  • Applying your skills through controlled decision-making scenarios

The emphasis throughout the course is on recognising danger early, making a decision and creating an opportunity to escape — not staying to fight when you don’t have to.

THE CONFIDENCE CODE

RECOGNISE. DECIDE. ACT.

Personal Safety & Self-Defence for Women

The Confidence Code is Flashpoint Combatives’ small-group personal safety and self-defence course for women.

The course combines awareness, boundaries and early threat recognition with practical physical skills for situations where avoidance and escape are no longer enough.

Its purpose is not to make you fearful of the world. It is to help you recognise problems earlier, make clearer decisions and act when necessary.

THE REALITY OF PERSONAL SAFETY

No self-defence course can guarantee your safety or prepare you for every situation.

Violence is unpredictable. Surprise matters. Size and strength matter. Weapons, multiple attackers and the environment can radically change what is possible.

That is why The Confidence Code does not begin with fighting. It begins with recognising problems early, trusting warning signs, setting boundaries and leaving when you can.

Physical skills are there for when those earlier options have failed. The objective is simple: create an opportunity to escape.

COURSE FORMAT

The Confidence Code is delivered as a single Saturday session at Tamborine Mountain, Queensland.

WHAT IT ISN’T

The Confidence Code is not:

  • A fitness class or bootcamp.

  • A competitive fighting program.

  • A course built around fear or paranoia.

  • A promise that a few techniques can make you invulnerable.

  • Training that assumes every confrontation should become a fight.

The Confidence Code is about developing better options — recognising danger earlier, making clearer decisions and having practical skills available when avoidance and escape are no longer enough.

WHO IT’S FOR

The Confidence Code is designed for adult women who want practical personal-safety and self-defence training in a small, supportive training environment.

You do not need previous martial-arts or self-defence experience, and you do not need to be exceptionally fit.

You do need to be willing to participate, work safely with other people, follow instruction and communicate if you need to slow down, modify an activity or stop.

Applications are reviewed before places are offered.

READY TO TRAIN?

The Confidence Code is limited to a maximum of six participants per course.

Applications are reviewed before places are offered. There is no cost to apply and submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance.
